I have searched for the answer to this question and I cant find it. Me, my husband, his sister and dad are all going to hurricane harbour(water park) saturday and Im taking my babyboy. Is this ok? he will stay mostly in the shaded area under the umbrella with his g-pa. &&Do they make floaties for such a young age?? Please help Im a new mother and dont want to hurt my baby!!
I personally wouldn't. The heat is too much for a young baby. And they don't recommend using sunscreen for babies under 6 months. I called the pediatrician last summer when my son was this old..I wanted to take him to the pool/beach and she said I had lost my mind. And to keep him inside. So I stayed in pretty much all summer.
ADD: My mom took me outside when I was 3 months old..she had me in the shade and everything..hat and all. I ended up getting blisters and having to go to the hospital. The doctor looked at her like she was crazy taking me outside. Even in the shade a young baby can get burnt. Or even blisters like I did!
