How to supplement sunlight without artificial light?
I have some outdoor plants in a garden on the side of my house. They are healthy but stunted a bit because they obviously do not get enough light with the neighbor's trees and being between the house and the tall wooden fence. They only get about 2-4 hours of direct sunlight a day. I do not want to move my plants because i like the discreet location they're in. Is there some sort of fertilizer type supplement to help the plant absorb more sunlight or something? I suppose i could use mirrors or foil or something but, come on... I guess is there something i can do other than moving my plants or cutting the neighbor's trees or putting artificial lights out there?
Use white rock as mulch. Do not let it touch the plants. White will reflect what light there is and the rock will heat up keeping the area warmer than it might normally be. When watering, make sure some water gets sprinkled too as most 'discreet' plants appreciate humidity.
