Plastic Welding, Air Heating and Industrial Heating Methods

Industrial Processes

Industries require a wide range of equipment and processes to function smoothly and maintain a high level of production. Almost all industries require chemical, physical or heat processes to manufacture commodities and equipment. Proper maintenance of industrial plants and processes can improve efficiency, reduce energy costs and help the environment.

Plastic welding, air heating and industrial heating methods have come to the fore today as crucial industrial processes. Plastic welding is the process of joining or fusing two pieces of plastic using a plastic welder. Complex structures can be created by welding smaller plastic parts like pipes, ducts and containers etc. Conventional methods of welding plastics like castings and die-casting of plastics are not suitable for all types of plastic welding. Additionally, broken or split plastic like computer parts, drums, home appliances, water tanks and household utensils also can be welded with modern plastic welding techniques. Since it is more economical to repair a plastic item than buy a new one, such welding processes can prove to be a boon. Some plastic items may require a chemical welding technique or a plastic adhesive.

Industrial heaters include corrugation heaters, immersion heaters, space heaters, embedded heaters and cartridge heaters. These heaters are required in textile, chemical, food, packaging, printing and many more industries. In all these industries, industrial heaters are needed for machines to operate smoothly. It is also required that they operate at a low cost and at optimum production level. Infrared heating systems are highly in demand today as they produce heat energy without pollution and use of fuel like coal or gas.

Air heaters are used to heat air with convection, radiant heat, or resistive heating methods. Air heaters may need a power source like electricity, oil, diesel, gasoline, kerosene or propane. Solar heaters and products that use wood as a fuel source are also available as air heaters. Some air heaters have fins for better heat dissipation. Convection devices for air heating include heat torches, fixed electric fan heaters and slow combustion wood heating. Duct heaters supply supplementary heat to delivered air. Enclosure heaters provide heat against humidity and also ensure equipment protection.

noise insulation for forced air gas heater?

I am renting a place. Probably for space reason the forced air gas heater is in a kind of cupboard next to the bedroom. This room is otherwise the more quiet room, so I prefer to keep it as a bedroom. However, when the heater comes on especially the fan makes quite some noise which does bother me at night. Any suggestion how to improve this? I thought of putting a lot of acoustic foam at the door to the cupboard, but that seems to be quite expensive and not that easy to get. Other ways for noise insulation?

Go to Home Depot and get some sound deadening board, It comes in 4x8x1/2" sheets. They will cut a lot of the sound, but if the vent opening is in the bedroom you don't want to cover it and then there will still be the loud noise.
