Is there an easy way to do the color splash effect on my pictures?
I know that you can use photoshop to make the black and white pictures with color but it's a little costly and I heard it's a little harder to get the hang of. Is there anything else out there that would do the same thing?
Ok, here goes...
There are multiple ways to do this effect. If you already have Adobe Photoshop and are somewhat familiar with the program, go to YouTube and search "Photoshop Color Splash". There are many tutorials. If you don't already have Photoshop, DONT go buy it just to do this effect. Photoshop costs around $700 new and there is a serious learning curve.
There is another photo editing program called GIMP that has tutorials on YouTube. Once again, just search "GIMP Color Splash". GIMP is free, and you can download it anytime. But you need to be willing to spend a lot of time learning GIMP. It is for advanced users.

If you are wanting something easy to use, there is a program designed to specifically do Color Splash to your photos called Color Select Studio. It has tutorials on YouTube as well.
