This exciting wooden swing set has all the extras that children wish for and parents can manage to pay for without breaking the bank. This recreational area calls for just about 33' x 22' play area which in a must for the safe play zone. While the tangible measurements of the wooden swing set is 23' x 12' and sits at 11 feet in height you will need to make sure you have the space available for building this huge structure.
With the fort built-in the middle of the structure all of the play activities are focused around it. The fort is large at about 24 square feet and has a deck height of 5 feet off the ground and kids will have a great time playing in it. The access ladder makes entry into the fort easy and as a bonus they steps are angled. Another way into the fort is using the rope that is attached to the rock wall.
Please tell the kids no, if they want to climb into the fort by climbing up the slide as this is dangerous and not worth the risk of injury. As the kids arrive into the fort area there are plenty of play options to keep their attention such as the tic tac-toe panel, telescope or deciding between the two slides for exit. Kids can exit from the fort by choosing either the enclosed tube slide or the wave slide.
What is nice about the unit the fact that it comes with a wood roof and you don't pay extra for it. A wood roof provides shade from the hot sun while in the fort or while sitting at the Picnic Table that rests underneath the fort.
This wooden swing set comes with a three position swing bay and has two green belt swings and one Trapeze Bar. This standard equipment makes for fun swinging by kids as they use their legs to swing high. Need tips and info on buying a used wooden swing set?
I am thinking about purchasing a used wooden swing set/play structure. I've look at a couple Rainbow Brand, and ceder ones. I was just wondering how well they hold up when being disassembled, transported and then re assembled. If anyone has done this before, let me know how it worked out for you. I don't want to waste my money, even the used ones can be pretty expensive.

We helped move a very large wood playset from our son's home he sold to their new home. The children loved the set so it was well worth the move. (Three swings, 8 foot slide, six foot tall fort on top, monkey bars etc.) The set was about 6 years old and the wood was still in very good condition because it is treated lumber. Examine the playset very carefully and find out how old it is if possible.
It took 4 men 8 hours to disassemble, load it on the long bed truck and reassemble the set. My husband drew a diagram of the playset and marked the parts so putting it back together was more efficient. You will need to dig holes for the legs so measure your yard space and mark the ground to indicate where the legs should be placed according to where they were in the yard it is coming from.
Anything you can think of to do in preparation makes the job easier. Get lots of help and be prepared to run to the hardware store if any bolts break.
